MEL ELLIS
Mel is a multi talented artist who has touched many with his gifts throughout the states, but only the surface
has been scratched of what is in store! He hails originally from Oklahoma City, OK; where he studied his first
acting class at Langston University through the Pollard Theatre. He holds a BA degree in Business Management
from this historic HBCU, but his 1st love has always been the arts. Some of Mel’s favorite roles he has brought
to life in his acting pilgrimage include: “Eli” from August Wilson’s heavily cultured plays“GEM OF THE
OCEAN” and “Toledo” from “MA RAINEY’S BLACK BOTTOM”. While still on the west coast he also
captured various diverse audiences with multiple roles in “THE THREE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE” and
DON B. WELCH’S “THE BACHELOR PARTY” as “Trey”. In his move to Atlanta while still on stage and
blossoming into TV and FILM, Mel developed a love for doing Voice-Over. Now enjoying a seasoned and
growing VO business VOICEMEL LLC, this triple threat artist is ready to deliver a breath of fresh air to the
industry that the big and small screen, stage, and microphones all around the world have been waiting for... right
from where it all started for him O.K.C.! He dedicates all he does to the memory of his loving mother, 4 sons, and the fulfillment of his purpose.
