I am a native of Baltimore, MD born to a United Methodist minister father and a public school librarian mother. My family moved around a lot because of my dad's profession from the city to the county and back again. Finally, my parents settled near Annapolis, MD and I landed in NYC for college and never left.
I am a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and am a part of Elise Arsenault's Audiobook Adventures narrator accountability group.
Background work for Comedy Central, the soap opera As the World Turns and SNL along with performing in small independent theater groups on Manhattan's Lower East Side, supplemented my waitress, retail and cubicle warrior days and nights.
I like to read memoir and mysteries and I believe that cookbooks should be considered as works of non fiction. I also love to sing with my church's Parish Choir, eat, drink, go to the theater, museums, and look at pretty shiny things.
Accessibility to all places and spaces is important to me and I want to use my talents and my voice to help, entertain and inspire people. I believe my mission is to be a steward to those who can't afford a book or get a library card, those who can't hold a book, see or read the words, struggle to read or turn the page.
